We were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of your father, Samih. On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Beirut, we extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We are enormously proud to have had Samih Darwazah as a distinguished alumnus, Honorary Doctor, and dear friend of the university. His professional achievements with Hikma Pharmaceuticals and the impact they have had on so many lives are inspirational. But it is his dedication to his employees and his community, and his service to Jordan and the region that were truly exceptional. In addition to the example of his remarkable life, his legacy will live on at AUB through the Samih Darwazah Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Samih Darwazah and Samira Fadli Scholarships.
