Samih made a lasting impression on both myself and my husband Breffni, who is a non-executive director of Hikma. Samih's remarkable business achievements were many and undoubtedly his family and colleagues are correctly very proud of them.
It was clear to me, and all I am sure who had the good fortune to know him, that he was a man who was blessed with a very keen intellect and that he had great business acumen but he bore it with such modesty and humility that to me, they almost seemed incidental such were his qualities of graciousness, kindness and generosity. He was truly a gentleman. His love and affection for his family were as palpable as the respect and appreciation he showed to all his colleagues. He had the warmest of smiles, always a delightful twinkle in his eye and a gracious word for everyone he encountered.
His passing is a great loss to all who knew him and I regard it as a wonderful privilege to have had the pleasure of meeting him and I have the fondest of memories of anytime spent with him and his family whether it was in Jordan, Lebanon, London or Portugal. He will always be fondly remembered by me and be a source of inspiration to me. May he rest in peace.
